About our Pastor
David Linn was born as the younger son of a Russian chemist.  He was raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.  

Dave married Anna Nordaas in 1971, who taught math and physics at Morton High School.  They raised 5 children before Anna's death in 2006.  He enjoys visiting 3 of them on the East coast and 2 on the West coast.  

After graduating from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Dave served parishes in South Dakota for 10 years and Washington State for 28 years.  

After three years as a widower, Dave married Peggy Gilliland in 2009.  Dave and Peggy served the Lord's ministry in Asia before health issues forced Dave to retire and move back to the U.S.  God restored his health, and he has been serving vacancies throughout his retirement.
 
Serving a vacancy is what brought Dave to Zion and Courtland.  Dave has been called and accepted full time service for our congregations.  We pray continually, that the Lord with bless his work as he serves both congregations to the best of his abilities.
